Spinal Aquatic Management $150 - 4 hour course
Spinal Aquatic Management Group Training
We deliver Spinal Aquatic Management training for groups in our Sydney Training Centre or we can come to you and provide in house training at your location. Group bookings require a minimum of 10 people but if you're just short of that number then please call us as we’ll do our best to meet your needs.
Who should undertake this Qualification?
This course has been designed for marine construction companies and workers and is designed to deliver training that will provide the necessary skills for the candidate to undertake a successful rescue and retrieval of an unconscious patient in a marine construction environment.
Spinal Aquatic Management Course Details
This is a 4 hour face to face course conducted in a closed water environment in Sydney.
A current Senior or Apply First Aid HLTFA301B or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) HLTCPR201A and competent swimming skill ie. must be able to swim a minimum of 100m fully clothed (shoes, long pants and shirt).
All our course trainers and assessors hold a Cert IV in Training & Assessment and II or III in Public Safety Aquatic Rescue.
Students must be 14 years old on the day of course completion. Students to provide a pen and note pad and wear comfortable clothing. If an invoice is required please contact Training Aid Australia’s head office.
Spinal Aquatic Management Assessments
Practical demonstration of unaided unconscious rescue without rescue equipment and with rescue equipment.
Perform individually or with a team a single or multiple rescues of an unconscious patient without or with rescue equipment using the correct method for retrieval of the patient and post rescue patient management.
Rescue equipment used will include floatation devices that are present on a marine construction site including Rescue Tube, PDF, Life Ring, Stormy and Spinal Board.

Spinal Aquatic Management Certification
A of course completion will be issued to the candidate who is deemed competent to undertake a rescue and retrieval of an unconscious patient.
