Training Aid Australia is partnered with one of Sydney’s most reputable sailing school companies East Sail.

East Sail is located at Rushcutters Bay and delivers many RYA approved sailing courses starting from beginner introduction to sailing courses through to advanced Yacht Master certification year round.

The courses available through East Sail include:

Start Yachting

Taught on beautiful Sydney Harbour, this introductory sailing course covers the fundamentals. You will be at the helm of our exciting Beneteau yacht right from the first lesson and comfortably accomplish all the basic manoeuvres of sailing by the end of the course.

Competent Crew

Hone your sailing skills with the inshore competent crew course on the beautiful playground of Sydney Harbour. This sailing course is taught aboard our Beneteau 33.7 and Sydney 36 yachts.

Day Skipper

This practical training course is designed for intermediate level sailors, teaching skills that will enable you to skipper and charter yachts in Sydney or other fabulous cruising grounds worldwide! During this sailing course you will discover the pleasures and pitfalls of taking command.
 
You will have control of the yacht for short passages during which time your instructor will be on hand to offer advice and encouragement, and to ensure that your destination is reached safely. The essential element is that you experience being in charge, taking the credit when all goes well and learning how to improve when things don't go as well. The end of each day is spent around the chart discussing the passages and gaining from each other’s experiences. These offshore courses are taught aboard our Beneteau 40.7 and Beneteau First 40 yachts.

Coastal Skipper and Yacht Master

This is comprehensive, advanced course in navigation, passage planning, tides, seamanship and meteorology for candidates for the RYA and YA Coastal Skipper and RYA and YA Yachtmaster Offshore Certificate of Competence.
