If your workplace requires you to have the standard first aid certificate, then this is the course for you.
The Apply First Aid HLTFA301B course is the industry standard across Australia and is the certificate required for most workplaces. Some workplaces or industries only require an annual CPR certificate (e.g. swim school instructor, school teacher) which is covered in this course. Some industries may require a more specific first aid training course like marine first aid.
This course used to be known as Senior First Aid or Level II First Aid but it is now called Apply First Aid.
For the Apply First Aid initial certificate or update of an expired certificate, students need to complete the online or hardcopy pre-study workbook before attending the course. Students who do not complete the workbook will not receive their certificate on the day of training and will only be sent it upon completion of the online or hardcopy workbook. Students completing the workbook online will need to agree to a declaration stating that they have completed all relevant components of the online workbook.
For a Apply First Aid update certificate, there is NO pre-study requirements. To receive a discounted 'refresher rate' a validated copy of your current certificate must be supplied to enrol into this course and must be produced before training has commenced.
All students are required to competently complete the practical and theory assessment including the pre-study workbook and a multiple choice theory paper at the end of the training. If a competent mark is not scored, the student will have to pay a re-assessment fee of $50.
Students must be 14 years old on the day of course completion. Students to provide a pen and note pad and wear comfortable clothing. If an invoice is required please contact Training Aid Australia’s head office.
