| Course accreditation: | (Previously known as Senior First Aid or Level II) Australian Qualification Framework accredited and Nationally Recognised Training. HLTFA 301B – Apply First Aid Unit of Competency from the Health Training 2007 Package. |
| Price for training and group bookings: | Initial Certification - $120 per person Receipt for training will be supplied at the course. If an invoice is required please contact Training Aid Australia’s head office. |
| Initial certificate: | Face to Face: 8 hour course with pre-study online workbook. Student to complete online or hardcopy pre study workbook before attending the 8hr face to face training which comprises of theory and practical training with assessment. |
| Update certificate: | Face to Face: 8 hour course - no prestudy requirements. Please Note: A validated copy of your current certificate must be supplied to enroll into this course. We require that the certificate is produced before training is commenced. |
| Pre-study workbook (two options): | Online Training: Approx study time 2 hours. |
Hard Copy Workbook & Manual: Approx study time 4 hours. Once enrolled the participant receives their workbook and training manual to be completed prior to the face to face course assessment date. |

| Course materials we provide: | Manual, information sheets, test papers and resources for practical training. Receipt for training will be supplied at the course. |

| Course training: | Legal issues in First Aid Stress Management techniques Hygiene in First Aid Patient assessment Incident approach Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) The chain of survival Understand the use of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Managing bleeding Treating shock Burns and Scalds Facial injuries Spinal injuries Fractures Head injuries Medical conditions Soft tissue injuries Poisoning Stroke Heat and cold emergencies |
| Assessment: | All participants are required to competently complete the practical and theory assessments. The theory assessment includes the pre-study workbook and a multiple choice theory paper at the end of the training. |
| Outcome: | On completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate in Apply First Aid HLTFA301B valid for three (3) years. Included in this training is the VET accredited course Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) HLTFA201A from the Health Training Package. |
