Apply First Aid - Initial Certificate (Level II)

 


Initial Certification:
6 - 8hr course comprising of theory and practical training.

Required Numbers:
Public courses - 6 participants.
On-site training - 10 participants.

Course Options:
All participants are required to complete a theory component prior to attending this course. The theory component can be completed in one of two ways:
Option 1: Online Training - Once enrolled the participant receives a login and password via email for the online component to be completed prior to the training date.
Option 2: Workbook and Manual - Once enrolled the participant receives their workbook and training manual to be completed prior to the training date.

Pre-requisites:
Participant must be 14 years old on the day of course completion.

Course Materials:
Provided - manual, information sheets, test papers and resources for practical training.
Student - pen and note pad.

Course Training:
> Legal issues in First Aid > Head injuries
> Hygiene in First Aid > Spinal injuries
> Patient assessment > Fractures
> The chain of survival > Medical conditions
> Managing bleeding > Soft tissue injuries
> Treating shock > Poisoning
> Burns and Scalds > Stroke
> Facial injuries > Heat and cold emergencies
> Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

All participants are required to complete the multiple choice test at the end of the training. On completion of this course participants will receive a certificate valid for three years.
