Course accreditation:
Australian Qualification Framework accredited and Nationally Recognised Training SITFAB009A – Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol Unit of Competency from the Tourism, Hospitality and Events 2007 Training Package.
Price for Training:

Face to face (certificate accepted in all states but QLD) - $70
Online (certificate not accepted in VIC/TAS/NSW) - $75

This fee includes the Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority certificate processing fee. If an invoice is required please contact Training Aid Australia’s head office.

The NSW RSA course is recognised in all states except Victoria and Queensland. In Victoria, you can complete a free online refresher: www.consumer.vic.gov.au/refresher. In Queensland, you must complete the course again.

Duration:
6 hour course.
Pre-requisites:
Participant must be 18 years old on the day of course completion.
Required numbers:
Public Bookings – 10 participants
Onsite Bookings - 10 participants
Course materials we provide:
Manual, information sheets, test papers and resources for training. Receipt for training will be supplied at the course.
Student to provide:
Pen and note pad and wear comfortable clothing.
Course training:

Legislative framework
Legal requirements of the sale and service of alcohol in NSW
Harm minimisation and duty of care
Alcohol guidelines
Anticipating problems and managing patrons
Assess and monitor the levels of intoxication of patrons
Strategies to prevent intoxication
Advise patrons on ‘standard drinks’ and the effects of alcohol

Assessment:

A multiple choice workbook and written workbook is completed by each student. Assessment can only be attempted once. If a not yet competent mark is scored, the student will have to pay the re-assessment fee.

Outcome:
On completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment in Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol SITHFAB009A.
