Course accreditation:
Australian Qualification Framework accredited and Nationally Recognised Training SITGAM006A – Provide Responsible Gambling Services Unit of Competency from the Tourism, Hospitality and Events 2007 Training Package.
Price for Training:

Certification - $70 per person
Re-assessment fee - $30 (if not passed as competent)

This fee includes the Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority certificate processing fee. If an invoice is required please contact Training Aid Australia’s head office.

Who should do this course:

All staff working in gaming areas of hotels and registered clubs are required to complete an approved course. Prospective employees must complete the RGS course prior to the commencement of working in gaming areas.

The NSW RGS course is recognised in all states except Victoria. In Victoria, you must complete the course again.

Delivery:

Face to face delivery and assessment at a training venue.

Duration:
6 hour course.
Pre-requisites:
Participant must be 18 years old on the day of course completion.
Required numbers:
Public Bookings – 10 participants
Onsite Bookings - 10 participants
Course materials we provide:
Manual, information sheets, test papers and resources for practical training. Receipt for training will be supplied at the course.
Student to provide:
Pen and note pad and wear comfortable clothing.
Course training:

Describes the context of gambling and gaming in NSW
Explains the impact and indicators of problem gambling and gaming
Legislative framework for responsible conduct of gambling and gaming
Responsible Conduct of Gambling strategies
Outlines methods of implementing responsible conduct of gambling and gaming strategies
Lists the benefits of implementing responsible conduct of gambling and gaming practices

Assessment:

A multiple choice workbook and written workbook is completed by each student. Assessment can only be attempted once. If a not yet competent mark is scored, the student will have to pay the re-assessment fee.

Outcome:
On completion of this course, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment in Provide Responsible Conduct of Gambling SITHGAM006A.
