| Initial certificate: | Face to Face: 2 day course with Pre-study workbook. Student to complete online or hardcopy pre study workbook before attending the 2 day face to face training which comprises of theory and practical training with assessment. |
| Pre-study workbook: | Online Training: Approx study time 2 hours. NOTE: The pre-study component must be completed before face to face training or assessment can be completed. Participants who do not complete the workbook will not be able to participate in the face to face training or assessment and forfeit their enrolment fee. |
| Pre-requisites: | A current Senior or Apply First Aid certificate must be supplied upon enrolment.. |

| Assessment: | All participants are required to competently complete the practical and theory assessments. The theory assessment includes the pre-study workbook and a multiple choice theory paper at the end of the training. |
| Outcome: | On completion of this course, participants will receive a certificate in Apply Advanced First Aid – HLTFA402B valid for three (3) years. Apply Advanced Resuscitation Techniques must be updated annually for the certificate to remain valid. |
